Started eating my fish then realized I should’ve taken a picture. The food was very good. I’d definitely come back if we visit the Charleston area again. The owner was also hospitable and welcoming which is always nice.

5 stars. You'll miss it from the road if you aren't looking for it. But a real low country gem. The food is great, and the service is authentic. I would not pass up a chance to stop in and eat when driving by. You will not regret it.

My husband and I were visiting Charleston for the first time and were recommended this place by a local. It may not look like much from the outside but the food was delicious and the service was great! Will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Small hole in the wall restaurant. Food is always well prepared, good quality and excellent taste. The grilled or fried pork chops are my favorite meal. You have the choice of one or two chops. Two chops only cost a little more. I generally get two chops and take one home. With two generous sides, I have plenty leftover for a second meal. My wife always loves the fried oysters and seafood there. My son loves the burger and sides. They have a regular menu, but there is always a board on the wall with lots daily specials. Not the fanciest of places, but food and service is always top notch and reasonably priced.

Too a chance and ate at this spot last night with the family. We wanted something new but yet country cooking. Looked this place up and checked out the menu and I knew this was gonna be just fine for us. The chicken tenders the kids had were hand battered and the wife's fried green tomato appetizers were amazing she said. I ended up getting the Fat Boy Burger and it was definitely tasty. The sweet tea was also excellent and I only drink it when I go out to restaurants so it's nice to have good sweet tea sometimes. I'll definitely head back to try different things off thr menu. Definitely worth checking out if ya want a good meal and not have to worry about a long wait to get a table. They have been in business now for 9 years and I thought to myself I wish I'd found this place sooner.

It ain’t fancy inside, but the food is to die for and service was fantastic! The printed menu is not exceptional, but the specials are out of this world! I opted for the shrimp and grits w brown gravy, butter beans, and and extra side order of green beans...I could have died and gone to heaven! The shrimp were perfect and grits and gravy/sauce were so unbelievably flavorful and sumptuous! I did not have room for dessert but I sure wish I had! This is a GREAT super authentic southern cooking lowcountry gem!!!!

The best Shrimp and Grits in the entire Lowcountry! Not only the best in the Charleston area but the best found anywhere. Everything we have eaten there is made fresh, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Delicious pork chops, hamburger steak, scallops, fresh vegetables, and much more on a menu to please everyone. The cheeseburgers are another favorite of mine. Homemade cakes and pies. Casual, clean, comfortable place to get a delicious meal.
